In reply to LuLu1970--I am very sorry about the situation your in right now. I too was bipolar and major depressive years ago. Why aren't you on medicaid? Have you gone to your local social services and applied for medical? you would probably qualify for food stamps as well as cash assistance since your mother passed away. If your mom was half your income, I am sure you could get help. I know for a fact that if your on meds for being bipolar you can go into your community action services and you will get help with meds. I'ts very dangerous for you not to take your meds. You can even call your drug store and tell them and they will help you get your meds free from the company that makes your meds. LuLu your not going to be able to solve any of your problems or help yourself if you go off your bipolar meds. That should be the very first thing you take care of right now. Get on the phone and call your Dr. and get this ball rollin before you start goin manic or even worse depresive. I wish you all the best and please let me know when you get your meds. Your problems will be much easier to solve if your head is clear. Sincerely sheshe030
I am so sorry your having it rough!! I too am at the end trying for help, My mom just passed away and she was half my income, and now i have no job .added bills cuz of the funeral, i cant even get my meds, i am bipolar/major depressive.
i have search everyewhere for help, and thers always a catch in why they cant help me. seems as though they want you in the gutter before they will help. so there goes the theory of you gotta help yourself first, i ahve been trying but something you cant do alone. i am 800 away from ending a bankruptcy that i cant pay for so its gonna get dismissed. i cant get any loans becuz i have a bankruptcy.
i sure hope someone comes to your rescue, i will pray ...

I am a widow with an 18 year old son who will be leaving next month for JOB CORP to study for his GED and the Welding program in upstate New York. I recieve $626.00 amonth from SSI, $120.00 a month from Public Assistance and we get about $80.00 a month in Food Stamps. My rent Is $1,175.00 a month and the Section 8 program sends my landlord $926.00 a month towards my rent. My monthly bills are more than I can afford to pay and I need help with paying my bills. I am in the VESID program and hope to be able to go back to work in about a year. In the meantime I can't afford to pay my bills. I do not owe any money to any credit cards and such but just paying for rent, utilities, public transportation, food, and clothing is becoming impossible. Please help me.
